Our Story

• A Yarn Market opened in January 2024 to a warm welcome from the community. Located in Carmel, Indiana, A Yarn Market is community focused, with knitting and crochet classes for all ages and skill levels.
• The owner, Ali Dillingham, started A Yarn Market with a mission to increase accessibility to knitting and crochet. Ali is often heard describing knitting as 'yarn therapy.' The benefits of knitting and crochet to mental health and its use as mindful making are well-documented and overheard every day in the shop.
• A Yarn Market is grateful to be providing access to local yarn in the community, featuring high-quality yarn including a local section, with yarn hand-dyed in Indiana.
